hello martin its jimmy white here, just to give you some breif details i have kept pigeons for the last 55 years, at first along with my late father, racing under j,white and son we were founder members of gilmerton homming club, which at that time had 42 members, sadly this has now declined to about 14 members, i havent raced pigeons for various reasons for the past 6 years but endeaver to do my best to help the young fancier[as my father would have done]this is mainly due to disablement i sincerely wish you well, and off course your family.especially "my wee pal" as i call her "wee annie", , your young sister,
i feel you will do very well with the pigeons in the future as you have picked up things very quick may i say its great to know you and your family, and we can thank the pigeons for that,god bless you and your family,,,,jimmy white

Hello Martin: I was a veteran at fifteen, having got my first pair when I was five. However, you are a long ways ahead of where I was. I was competing but no one had heard of TV then let alone Computers, videos and other things that you are mastering. I still have a few pigeons at 86. It has been a wonderful hobby, a pleasure thoughout my life. Stick with it and you will have much enjoyment that you will miss otherwise. Great job on your web page. If you can get six young people interested in the pigeon hobby each of whom also get six interested by the time you are my age there will be another one hundred thousand pigeon fanciers because of you. Those were the calculation expressed on an ABC news program about the spread of Christianity in Roman times. Keep up the good work, Martin.
